Mental Health First Aid

We're proud to deliver internationally recognised courses from MHFA England.

Building awareness and up-skilling leaders to have supportive conversations around mental health, is strongly encouraged as a core standard in business.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses provide your people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make this a reality in your organisation.

In 2018, MHFA was among the top five workplace wellbeing practices identified as meeting the highest standards of evidence by a RAND Europe report commissioned by Public Health England.

The team at Everyday People have been a pleasure to work with, from start to finish!

We received plenty of support at every stage of the process and all of our Mental Health First Aiders completed the training course feeling confident and inspired to make positive change at Poplar HARCA.

The course was extremely engaging and our trainers had a breadth of interesting and useful experiences to draw upon which kept the discussions fresh and informative!

- Jodie McLeod, People and Development Advisor at Poplar HARCA

Mental Health in the workplace matters.

In the UK, 72 million working days are lost each year due to poor mental health, with an annual cost to employers up to £45 billion.

15% of people at work have symptoms of an existing mental health condition.

62% attributed symptoms to work or said that work was a contributing factor.

76% of line managers believe they are responsible for employee wellbeing, but only 22% have received training.

MHFA Next Steps
Online and F2F workshops

Perfect for certified
Mental Health First Aiders

These everyday people workshops will help your team embed MHFA into your organisation and further empower participants in their learning.

The delivery and content can be tailored to suit your team's needs from one-off events to regular check-ins. We will always bring a balance of current knowledge refresh, introducing new topics, peer-supervision on real life cases, and a focus on self-care and boundary setting.

These workshops can also help Certified First Aiders explore their role together and the key questions - How can we support one another? How will we communicate to one another and stay aligned? How will we make ourselves known to the business? How else can we promote a mentally healthy workforce?

As a business it’s really important that external facilitators fit with our culture to be authentic, knowledgeable and relaxed. Andy was all of this and more, his gentle nature, his credibility and expert knowledge of his subject shone through – we couldn’t have picked a better person for the job.
